Description

This blanket is made by reusing old vintage blankets from local markets in India. By sewing together three layers of fabric, a thick, padded material is formed, consisting of top fabric, a backing material and insulating material inbetween. The cotton fabric is painted by hand in vegetable dyes using a wood block technique, and pattern placement might be slightly different than from the picture. Upcycling at its best.

About the brand

When Tony Tonnaer founded Kings of Indigo, he had a clear goal; to produce clothes in an environmentally friendly way - without compromising on quality. The idea behind the brand has always been that sustainability and quality need not be sacrificed for appearance.

In the age of greenwashing, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. That's why Kings Of Indigo strives to be two steps ahead. In 2020, they received recognition from PETA, among others, for using fully vegan products. The brand is particularly known for its denim.

Kings Of Indigo are the kings of indigo, offering sustainable jeans, hoodies, sweatshirts, denim jackets, and shirts - with a little extra edge. These products are a must-have for every jeans fan.

In terms of design, Kings Of Indigo is all about bright and bold colors, surf & sneaker -style, personal street fashion, and a touch of Japan.

"We want to encourage consumers to engage more passionately with the clothes they buy. With honesty and transparency, we want to help consumers make the best choices for their wardrobes. We hope to educate consumers to distinguish green from responsible and we can provide them with quality for the future."

-Tony Tonnaer
