Cowboy look - Fashionistas Choice for Summer 2020
The cowboy/cowgirl look is getting better than ever. Thick denim jackets, bootcut and flare cut jeans styled with statement boots and big hats is something we are most definitely craving.
Lately Instagram, Pinterest and fashion magazines have offered us real cowboy outfit inspiration. The cowboy/cowgirl look is getting better than ever. Thick denim jackets, bootcut and flare cut jeans styled with statement boots and big hats is something we are most definitely craving. The real deal fashionistas will entrail themselves with massive scarves or ponchos to add some extra layers during chilly evenings.
If the cowboy boots just aren’t your thing, bravely mix your favourite sneakers into this look. Sneakers will create some interesting street vibes to your outfit. Also, big buckle belts and bandana scarves will make some extra character. If you need some real inspiration we recommend watching some old school western movies. Kick-off your boots, grab an ice-cold beer, bag of popcorn and take a comfy seat at your couch and let guns "bang bang!"
Here are a few movie recommendations for easy Sunday or chill evenings:
- My Darling Clementine
- Once Upon a Time in the West
- The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The western inspiration is not only coming from old movies. The western vibes have also been visible in the music industry. The American rapper Lil Nas X rocketed the global lists with Billy Ray Cyrus. Their hit Old Town Road created a global movement where everyone from youngsters to grannies knew the lyrics from their heart as well as the funky dance moves. Since the big hit, Lil Nas X has released singles as ‘Rodeo’, which is following the same western-inspired style.
Of course, we as a fashion retailer, have also curated our collection to answer to this super cool trend. From our portfolio, you can find designers as Kseniaschnaider. The designer family duo, Ksenia and Anton Schnaider, began their brand story in 2011. The masterminds behind the brand are constantly working hand in hand- creating fashion pieces combining reworked materials, perfect cut, Eastern European cultural quotes and spicing it up with some innovative digital concepts. Their SS20 collection is offering some real deal cowboy inspiration, and to be honest, it looks freaking cool. No wonder supermodels such as Gigi and Bella Hadid have been rocking their jeans during fashion weeks.
We have also added some statement hats to our collection because every cowboy needs their stetson. Reinhard Plank is a talented hat maker from Florence, Italy. These hats will definitely catch the attention. As the designer himself stated:
"I usually use very classical materials such as felt, wool, lapin, straw, paper, etc., but I work a lot on the finishing by experimenting with treatments on how to make a felt hat look like a unique piece. I see each of my creations like little houses."
So get your cowboy - look on, stroll the sunny streets and tune those western vibes in. These looks are made for walking (maybe even for a little show-off)!
