Description
This linen jacket is hand embroidered by a skilled artisan in Mallorca. It has has olive branches embroidered to the sleeves. The fully lined jacket is long-sleeved, hip length and slightly oversized. It has a relaxed cut, with dropped shoulders, draped collar and pockets in sides. Interior drawstring at waist.
Mallorcan embroidery was well known until the 90's, and this jacket is part of an initiative to revive the nearly forgotten local tradition. Contemporary designers have been asked to use local embroidery so that this skill will not disappear from the island. Made to order.
