Mifuko

Mifuko was born in 2009 by two Finnish designers. The idea was to combine northern Finnish design with traditional Kenyan craftsmanship.

Mifuko is, in their own words, radically responsible. The fair trade brand is a community of strong and independent women.

In Swahili, mifuko means pocket. Mifuko ensures that no one's pockets are empty. For Kenyan artisans, this means a fair wage, empowerment, and independence from farming as their sole source of income.

Mifuko's Kenyan-made consumer goods, such as accessories and home decor, are unique. Each handcrafted product is exclusive. You will find the name of the artisan who made it on each Mifuko product.

Timeless design and the use of high-quality materials ensure that Mifuko products will give you pleasure for a long time. At the end of their life cycle, products can be recycled in an environmentally friendly way.

Joy, uniqueness, and social responsibility guide everything Mifuko does. Mifuko makes products with skill and a big heart.
