Kintobe
"Get out the door and carry kindness!" suggests the Copenhagen-based Kintobe, born out of the need for change of its founders Anne and Michael.
Anne and Michael found themselves living in a bubble where the people around them were just like them. Same education, same income, same political views.
In 2019, they decided to quit their day jobs and start Kintobe, a bold move born simply out of a need to "get out" and challenge their views. Anne and Michael wanted to meet people who were different from them - and create something new.
Kintobe's mission is to draw attention to the growing polarisation of the world. Made from 100% recycled and GRS-certified materials, their responsible bags are symbols of kindness and tolerance.
Kintobe bags are made from recycled plastic waste, for example. The brand is also testing a plant-based alternative to traditional leather; King Oyster mushrooms are a 100% biodegradable leather-like material.
The brand's design and product development is guided by a compass that encourages reflection on features and ideas that support longevity, sustainability and responsible material sourcing.
