Description
A rubber brush is used to soften suede and nubuck leather shoes after washing. The rubber brush can also be used together with a suede eraser for dry cleaning suede and nubuck leathers. The brush darkens with use, so it's advisable to get separate brushes for dark and light leathers to prevent color transfer.
Softening suede and nubuck leather shoes after washing: Brush the leather surface with back-and-forth motions using the rubber brush. Start by pressing gently and add pressure as needed until the leather begins to soften and its surface becomes revitalized – sometimes quite firm pressure may be needed. The best result is achieved when you brush the leather immediately after washing while it's still damp, as well as several times during the drying process. Finish the shoes by brushing them thoroughly with a shoe brush.
Dry cleaning suede and nubuck leathers: First thoroughly erase darkened areas with a suede eraser and brush away loosened leather fibers and eraser residue with a shoe brush.
Finish the cleaning by brushing the entire product to be cleaned with back-and-forth motions using the rubber brush. The rubber brush further cleans by "eating" dirt from the leather surface while simultaneously evening out and revitalizing the leather surface. Dry cleaning can be done on suede and nubuck leather shoes, bags, accessories, garments, or even furniture.
