The Organic Company

The Organic Company

The Organic Company is a Danish design house that specialises in organic cotton, as its name suggests. Organic cotton is a natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre.

The Organic Company designs and manufactures a wide range of organic textiles for the home; for bathrooms, kitchens, home and travel. Selected Danish designers work in collaboration with The Organic Company.

Founded in 2007 by Joy Vasiljev, the company is driven by honesty, transparency and an ambition to make a difference. When Joy started her business, she saw the world in imbalance and wanted to start facing its real problems; overconsumption, the nature gap and pollution.

Joy Vasiljev also wanted to produce and offer functional textiles that combine good design with organic materials.

All The Organic Company's products are made from organic cotton and certified by the international organic standard GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). GOTS focuses on environmental and social responsibility, ensuring that materials are free of toxins and heavy metals, and that the rights of international workers are respected.

The Organic Company is also B Corp certified, confirming that it meets high standards of social responsibility, environmental responsibility and transparency.
