The Pure Waste fabric mask is a responsible choice: it is made of 100% recycled fabric. The washable, reusable mask consists of two layers of woven fabric. Our fabric mask is designed for adults and measures 18 x 10 cm. For technical sewing reasons, the size of individual masks may vary by +/- 1 cm. You can tie the elastic string to adjust the ear loops to your size.
An estimated 90 million kg of post-consumer textiles is generated in Finland every year. We think post-consumer textiles should be treated as a material, not as waste. The Post Waste fabric mask is made of used clothes, textile industry cutting waste and recycled plastic bottles. Compared to an equivalent product made from virgin materials, making a fabric mask from recycled materials uses 99% less water and generates 50% fewer CO2 emissions. The mask is a personal hygiene product: refunds and returns are not possible.
Depending on the batch, our masks are responsibly manufactured in either Finland or Estonia.
