We are happy to introduce our own Scandinavian Easter Bunny; Jenni Rotonen, author from Pupulandia blog! During our Easter mood IVALO will donate 50% of it’s commission to The Finnish Association for Nature Conservation.

We are happy to introduce our own Scandinavian Easter Bunny; Jenni Rotonen of Pupulandia blog! Pupulandia translated from Finnish to English means  “The Bunny-land” and together we wanted to raise awareness towards nature in our this year’s Easter campaign.

We want to keep the forests in a habitable state for plants, trees and its inhabitants.

Deforestation is a global issue, but what is it? A simple definition is that areas that used to be rich in different species of trees and plants are turning into a empty space, as we are cutting down the trees more than what we are planting. This act has a huge impact on the ecosystem of our planet as 70% of our known animal species are living in forests, especially in tropical forests such as Amazon or mountain rain forests in Kinabalu. We want to keep the forests in a habitable state for plants, trees and its inhabitants.

Art has always been inspired by nature. The floral print is one of recurring trends in fashion that comes back groundbreakingly every spring. Humans and animals have always been inspired and affected by each other, which we can see in the earliest artworks made by human - the cave paintings.

Lovely Jenni Rotonen of the Finnish Pupulandia blog is the face of IVALO's Easter Campaign IVALO x Pupulandia

To see the alarming signs in the state of the forests we do not need to go as far as Amazon. In Finland we often take the forest for granted as we have plenty of it! However, the situation is not that simple after all. We’re cutting down the trees to provide more space for agriculture. When there are less trees, there are less places to build a nest for already threatened species as Eurasian Buzzard (Buteo buteo).

We have a question; “ Where would we get our inspiration from if these things were gone?”

As we are not experts when it comes to the nature and how to protect it, we needed  help. For this reason IVALO will donate 50% of it’s commission (each item sold during the Easter campaign) for FANC (Suomen luonnonsuojeluliitto). The Finnish Association for Nature Conservation is the largest non-governmental organization for environmental protection and nature conservation in Finland. The purpose of the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation is to protect the environment, promote nature conservation, preserve cultural heritage, and promote active citizenship and environmental awareness.
