The history of denim dates to 1800s in Northern America. The need for practical trousers was one of the main reason behind creating this durable cotton fabric. Jacob Davies and Levi Strauss are the entrepreneur couple that we thank for inventing the iconic pair of trousers in the 1870s. Davies had the idea to reinforce the workwear of miners and lumberjacks with copper rivets and extra durable seaming. Strauss was dedicated cloth, garment and shoe entrepreneur from San Francisco with a wide spread retailer connections in the country. The innovative collaboration between these two men was the reason why the first pair of sturdy and durable Levi Strauss & Co trousers were born.

Is there really a fresher combination than blue jeans and a white T-shirt. This summer I, myself, just got my first pair of jeans in over five years. I felt nervous and not very excited while shopping for the right pair of blue denim trousers - my relationship with jeans hasn't been the warmest in the recent years. As I was dancing in the fitting room with the perfect blue pair of jeans hugging my figure I witnessed the new Denim-Stella being born. Now, after few carefully selected try-ons I have somehow converted myself into a denim lover and oh boy, how the Autumn denim trends are calling my name now!
